El Rosario Church

Colorful ambient light, shining through the stained glass windows in the ceiling, is seen in the interior of El Rosario Church in San Salvador, El Salvador, 13 February 2014. The church, designed by a Salvadorean sculptor Ruben Martinez, was built between 1967 and 1971 in Parque Libertad in the downtown of San Salvador. The unique modern shape of the church nave is made of concrete and rebar, with a rainbow colored glass mosaic in the roof. El Rosario Church is considered a masterpiece of contemporary architecture in Latin America.
